Although it has a bo-hi (groove), it is a robust, heavy, and imposing ! (960g when drawn)
Excellent wind cutting sound! No rattling!
The koiguchi (mouth of the scabbard) is on the tighter side!
Features melon flower fittings, genuine sharkskin with an antique look, and a mokkō-gata (gourd-shaped) openwork tsuba (hand guard) with a wood-eating beetle pattern, often seen in Hon'ami works!
The saya (scabbard) appears to be black lacquered pine bark finish!
This is quite a unique !
There are no overall defects, but if I had to point one out, it would be some slight deterioration on the sharkskin.
Given its antique appearance, I personally think it has a nice character!
